Great Pond contains excellent Northern Pike, small mouth bass, brown trout and white perch fishing. The state record Northern pike has been caught in this lake. Northern Pike in these waters can get up to 45 inches long and 24 lb. There are numerous small mouth bass in the 2-4 LB range and brown trout from 4-8 lb.

Great pond contains a diverse variety of structure including shoals, islands, deep holes, shallow weedy areas, boulder fields and tributaries which provide for a variety of fishing locations.
